Calphalon Unison Nonstick 10 Piece Set

Two surfaces make the difference. The revolutionary Slide Nonstick surface releases foods effortlessly, essential for creating tender omelettes and delicate sauces. And a specially textured Sear Nonstick surface that seals in flavor to create juicy braised beef, tuna and vegetables. Each surface is designed to enhance the specific cooking purpose of the pan. So your mushroom-gruyere omelette is moist and flavorful and your salmon filets are seared to perfection. The perfect pair – in one set.

Love my new set of Cookware

Date:February 20, 2013
This set is terrific. I love to cook, and these pans go from the burner to the oven, no problem, just use hot pads to pick up from the oven.
Clean up is a breeze. As much as I love to cook, I hate to spend a lot of time cleaning. So far, every single thing I have fixed has slid right out and the pot rinses out and I dry it and put it away.
Nice to know I can put it in the dishwasher if I should have a need. Highly recommend this product, and if anything goes wrong, (it won't) Calphalon will replace your piece.
Looks good as well as being functional, Highly recommend!

Very disappointed

Date:May 27, 2012
I am very disappointed with these pans. It says dishwasher safe and even though I rarely did that because of detergent build up, I still had the coating wear off. I spent A LOT of money on these! So NOT what I expected and even though Michael Simon recommends these, its all about the money! Shame! Wasted money on the whole set!

This product is just as advertised. Slide non-stick does just that, great for omelets. Even though they are dishwasher safe I still hand was them just because my dishwasher seems to leave a film on the nonstick surface

I hate cooking

Date:September 20, 2011
Personally I hate to cook, but my husband loves to so I got this set for him for Xmas a year ago. So far it's non-stick quality has lasted longer than any other cookware we have tried - and there have been many over the years (and we are always careful to use only plastic or silicone utensils). The only complaint we have of this Calphalon set is the handles on the lids get hot so you must always use a pot holder.

A Five-Star Review for Calphalon Unison

Talk about smooth cooking! You cannot go wrong with any Calphalon Unison product. All foods cook so evenly and clean up is a breeze. Really! We would HIGHLY recommend and are so happy we got them last Christmas. Only wish we had gotten them about a decade sooner!

Great Qualit,y Happy Customer

we are very happy using this cook set. Foods taste much better and clean up is a breeze. We took our time adjusting to learning how to properly cook over a med flame and not scolding our foods on a high flame. Any dish created in these pots and pans comes out beautifully.
We recently had dinner at my sister's and she has another brand of expensive cookware, she hates it and I found it a bit odd using her pots and pans.

Good product

Date:September 17, 2011
Calphalon has always been a good product. This set was a recent replacement for a well-worn set. As a whole, this set is serving us well. The saute pan, however, has marks in the base from the first use, even though an appropriate utensil was used in cooking. This was noted in the free-with-purchase dutch oven. All other pieces have performed much better. Set is still recommended.

A set with everything I need

Date:September 17, 2011
I bought this set about 3 months ago. I wanted to use it a bit before writing a review. Some things are great for the first few weeks, then they go bad. Not this set. I love to cook again! The slide feature is amazing and the sear feature is even better. I also purchased an extra grill pan. This makes wonderful steaks. I use the pan to get the grill marks and then into the oven to finish cooking. Yummo! Works like a charm and clean up is even easier. Even my husband uses the pans. He is no chef... but he is not afraid to cook with these. And again, clean up is a breeze. This set had just about everything I needed- from omelets to marinara- this set is perfect. The pans heat evenly and cook evenly. They are heavy, but this is good. I can't recommend them enough. Also when I purchased the set, there was a bonus dutch oven. I have used this sooo many times and it still looks and cooks like brand new. I love that they go from stove top to oven. Even my husband says my food tastes better and is never over-cooked anymore. My last set of pans (not the best quality) cooked unevenly and were very difficult to clean. I am looking forward to using my Unison set for a very very very long time.

I love this cookware set it cooks evenly- no warping and is durable! Only complaint is lids get hot! Must use hot pad in lid. No problem with handles. I do not recommend for elderly as it is very heavy. I do some catering for friends on occasion and can count on results.

The Unison Nonstick 10 Piece Set has been my best purchase in kitchen wear. I have used many other brands that are way cheaper in price and their toughness matches their price.
The Calphalon Unison set may be expensive You do get what you pay for .I wish I didnt waste my money on other brands all these years and just bought these from the start .

I love these pans! I use them daily, the set includes a nice mix of nonstick and sear finishes. The clean up easily by hand or dishwasher, they may be the last set of pans I ever have to buy. I do wish the set had a Dutch oven though rather than the stock pot.

Fantastic for everyday use

Date:September 15, 2011
We've been striving to cook our meals at home more often, and this set of cookware has been nothing but excellent. Food slides right off the pans, and I can put them right into the dishwasher once they've cooled down.
My only cons are that I have to double check dishwasher detergent to make sure there are no bleach additives, and that despite using only Calphalon silicone utensils I still seem to be getting small scratches on the cooking surface of my pans. There hasn't been any issue with food sticking, but I am slightly concerned about wear over the next several years.

awful product, terrible service

Date:August 24, 2011
These pans have held up terribly over time (18 months). The surface of the pots I use most frequently have completely broken down. I do not use any metal utensils. Simply frequent stirring with rubber (good quality from WS) spoons has destroyed the inner surface of the pan. The pieces I use less frequently are starting to do the same. I purchased this product for "healthier cooking," "lower fat and cholesterol, as you do not need butter or oil" as promoted. I can only imagine the chemicals I have been feeding my family. Although states dishwasher safe, the outsides have whitish discoloration, which I am told is from the dishwasher.
This product does nothing but waste space in my kitchen. I have replaced them with stainless steel products from another vendor.

Very poor quality

Date:February 3, 2011
I purchased this set as a gift to myself and am so unhappy with my choice. The finish is coming off the outside of 3 of my pans and the non stick finish on the inside is scratched and even has deep knicks in all of the pans. I don't even own any metal cooking utensils. The store where I purchased them has already replaced one pan and now my only option is to send back the defective pans and wait for new ones. I really wish I had gone with another brand.

Best Cookware Ever

Date:January 8, 2011
I love my cookware! I have been married 30 years and have bought so many sets of cheap pots and pans. I have never had pans distribute heat so evenly. Also I don't use the high heat setting as it just isn't necessary. I have not put my pots in the dishwasher because they are so easy to clean I just wash them by hand. After the pots being so great I invested in the knife set. Again what a difference quality makes! I look forward to many years of use from both sets.

After opening up and using the Calphalon Unison Nonstick cookware just over two weeks ago, I can recommend this to anyone who is looking to invest in a great cookware set. There is hardly anything you can't do with this set and it cleans easily.
If you can do it, pass over the less durable cookware at a cheaper price and buy Calphalon! They are definitely worth the investment!

I have for years used stainless steel and switched. They heat evenly and clean up beautifully. The only problem I have had is that they have a tendency to slide around on my ceramic top stove. Just minor! Would suggest adding the 1 qt pot to the set as I had to purchase this separately.

I've had this set for a year now. I use them EVERY DAY! My kids, 11 & 12, use them....throw them in the dishwasher and they come clean. They conduct heat evenly and have not warped in shape. My only compliant is the outside of the pots are difficult to keep clean. In addition, I have very hard water, so there's water deposits on the outside.

Really nice set... got it for my last birthday from my Mom and use it every day. Such a great quality. Requires detailed care so oil doesn't stick to the pans and is heavy, but very worth it. The product shows "Dishwasher safe", but I prefer to hand wash it every time, so they last longer.

Dishwasher safe? Not so much.

Date:November 9, 2010
These pans are great - I love them. BUT, that being said I am very disappointed with the durability of the outside of the SLIDE pans. The finish on the outside of the slide omelet pan was virtually gone after just a couple of trips to the dishwasher. I now wash all of them by hand because I don't want the same thing to happen which is a bummer, because the dishwasher safe feature was a huge part of my buying decision. If you don't care about washing by hand, then I go ahead and buy them. If you do care, stick to stainless steel.

Expected much better durability.

Date:June 23, 2010
I agree with many of the previous comments regarding ease of use and cleanup. They heat very evenly. I do really like the searing pans as well. However, beware of their lack of durability! The ONLY utensils I have used (aside from a rubbery-soft silicone spatula) are the Calphalon ones that came as a free bonus along with the set and are meant to be used with them. I have owned the set for several months and frankly don't even cook that much. I had old teflon pans that didn't scratch as badly even with the use of metal tongs and spatulas over the years. I was hoping that this would be the last set of cookware that I would buy but I can see that I was mistaken, even though I was very careful to use only the proper utensils.

First, let me say thank you so much for the set of pots. After having a horrific week of work, I was so excited about the pots that I literally had tears in my eyes and instantly updated my status on Facebook to reflect my excitment. I've always had at least 1 or 2 Calphalon Pots/Pans, but to have an entire set, just thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I started first on the smallest sauce pan just making a simple jar of sauce. What I liked the most and least was the lid. I loved the lid as it seems to fit so well and didn't rattle when at a boiling point. However, what I didn't like was the emblem on the lid. Of course, Calphalon should be able to label their products, but I had thought I cut my fingers on the engraved emblem on the lid. I realized that it was just a rough feel, but sort of scared me the first few times. What was great was washing the pot with sauce caked in it; it cleaned in a cinch.
Next I used the medium sauce pan and made a small batch of homemade mac and cheese for my son. While making the mac and cheese, my son wanted to go outside, and of course forgot that I had the dish on the stove. Well when we got back in, the mac and cheese was of course overcooked and burnt (of course not to the fault of the pan), but did not stick to the pan at all. I was able to clean the burnt on mac and cheese in seconds. Thankfully, I had a box of mac and cheese to replace the gross homemade first batch, which cooked perfectly.
After hearing about how the skillets seared and cooked meat, veggies and whatever to a golden brown, I had to check this out for myself. Well, as you can see from the pictures attached, WOW, is all I can say. Seriously, I think that the the steak I made turned out better than on a grill. It was so yummy and delicious on the outside with a beautiful golden brown crust and perfectly pink on the inside. Afterwards, I deglazed the pan with Balsamic and a raspberry vinegaraitte and made a perfect glaze for the steak. Can I just say, delicious.
The next item I used was the stock pot. At first I wasn't real thrilled with this and still am up in the air about it; however, it does cook well and is nice to look at on my shelf. What I'm not thrilled about is the shape of the opening of the pan. It seems to be a bit too narrow. Normally I could cook 2 artichokes side by side, but because of the narrowness of the opening, I had to put one on bottom and one on top. Anyone who cooks as much as I do would know that this could be a proble with the evenness of cooking. I had to remember to switch the artichokes around so that they cooked evenly. However, I do like the pot.
Lastly, the small skillet/omelet pan. Yes! Perfection at its best. I cooked an omelet made with egg beaters and in my other omelet pan that I have, it never got that nice golden brown color on the one side, but with this one, perfection. It was so easy to flip and I wish I had thought of taking a picture right away, but seriously it looked nearly as perfect as the picture you have on your site. Thank you for making the absolute perfect omelet pan.
Overall, I love the pans. They are heavy, cook evenly and the searing on the pans... I never want to grill again. Perfect. The only downsides that I could see, was the etching of the Calphalon emblem on the lid handles. Also, it did appear that boiling water took much longer than in my other pans; however, when boiling water with the lid on, I had to remember that I was boiling water as the lid did not rattle.
Thank you again Calphalon for making such a wonderful product (or should I say products)!

Awesome pan combo

Date:April 30, 2010
I was skeptical at first, since I prefer stainless pans, but very pleased at the quality and performance of these pans. The saute and covered deep saute are my "go-tos" - I use them for sauces and braises - basically anything - and they achieved a nice sear on chicken, pork, and - yes - even steaks (which I normally do in a cast iron pan).
Totally pleased with this set - the sauce pans are handy - every set should have one. I used the deeper pot only once (for pasta) - but that's only me.

Wow! That is about the only thing I can say.

I am generally not a huge fan of nonstick cookware or putting pots and pan in the dishwasher, so when I received this set I was a little skeptical. I own an older set of Calphalon cookware and love how it heats evenly and remains at temperature, so I really wanted to give the Unison a work out.
First thing I made was an omelette and was absolutely amazed by how it didn't stick in the 8" slide omelette pan. It slid right out of the pan using the tiniest bit of oil. The omelette was done to perfection. Ok, so that was an easy test. I put it in the dishwasher and it came out beautiful, no discoloration, no pock marks, just like new.
My husband and I decided to give the pans a tougher workout. Medium-rare ribeye steaks - we usually cook them on a wood fire outside, but it was raining and we had the sear pan. We used the 4 qt. saute pan with the sear nonstick surface...could a steak cooked on the stove really have a nice seared outside? We warmed up the pan, put in two steaks and let them sear. The sear was beautiful. We then put them in the oven for a few minutes to finish them. They were fantastic!
Our last test was to see if our non-cooking au pair could make eggs and clean the pan - no small feat. Nothing was stuck to the pan and she was even able to put it in the dishwasher.
The pans have truly stood up to being nonstick, versatile, and easy to clean. No more going out to purchase Bon Ami to clean my Calphalon, just stick it in the dishwasher.

AWESOME set & cheaper than marriage counseling

Date:April 30, 2010
My husband and I have a deal - I cook (wonderfully, I might add) and he cleans up the ensuing mess. The problem is, although he doesn't mind loading the dishwasher, the pots and pans end up "soaking" on the stove (because either they have gunk stuck on them or he doesn't want to hand wash) until I can't stand it anymore and then *I* end up washing them. As my preschooler says, "It's not fair!" This is where my fabulous cookware has saved us hundreds, perhaps thousands in marital counseling, about this annoying situation. You see, these pots and pans are actually dishwasher safe! And by that I mean, you can really put them in the dishwasher, unlike another brand that I have that claims to be dishwasher safe, only to suggest that it's actually better if you hand wash. Geesh! Surprisingly, you may actually find that hand washing is faster/easier, because you can literally wash a pan with your HAND. Yup, I couldn't find my sponge one day (I blame the preschooler), so I squirted a little soap and used MY HAND to clean my macaroni n' cheese encrusted pot!
Oh, I should also mention, since this *is* a cookware review, that these pots and pans cook amazingly!! I have been able to make my families favorite dishes with so much less oil or fat, because the non-stick surface works so great and the searing functionality is really cool. Who knew non-stick could sear?! I also love that the cookware has a nice weight to them and that they can go directly into the oven. So long story short, Hubby is loving my renewed enthusiasm for cooking with my new set AND he's now doing ALL the dishes. Thanks, Calphalon!

Throw away your old set

Date:April 29, 2010
The Unison Nonstick 10-piece set is a godsend – we have used it almost every day since we got it about a month ago. The set replaced everything in our kitchen except for our slow cooker. The 8 Qt. soup pot is my favorite – I’ve used it for everything from beef stew to boiling potatoes. It’s also the most beautiful piece in the set – I often just leave it out on the stove to show it off.
The omelette pans are also great; we use them almost every morning to cook eggs. You don’t need any oil and the eggs slide around like they’re on ice. They are also super easy to clean – one paper towel is all you need. (Or you can rinse them in the sink and dry them off – which is probably better for the environment.)
If you’re looking for a new set of pans for yourself or as a gift – you should definitely buy this set. It will make you feel like a professional chef every time you cook.

I've always been satisfied with my All-Clad Stainless Steel set, but had never found the right non-stick, stovetop-to-oven skillet to supplement my collection. I recently received this 10-piece set and I think I've hardly used my All-Clad since! It's a fabulous set that cooks evenly and cleans amazingly easily. I have only two complaints:
1) I wish the 10-inch pan were a 12-inch pan, I miss having a bigger pan.
2) Despite using gentle utensils and cleaning materials, we already have some significant scratches on some pans! Very disappointing. I wouldn't spend this money on pans that scratched so easily.

Phenomenal Nonstick Cookware!

Date:April 26, 2010
I've been using the same Calphalon nonstick cookware since I received my first set as a shower gift over 10 years ago, and overall I have been happy. With that said, I can honestly say the Unison nonstick cookware is MILES ahead of its predecessor for many reasons:
1. The "sear" pans sear everything beatifully and evenly -- chicken, seafood, you name it! I typically use a stainless steel pan for searing, but these pans worked just as well, if not better.
2. I love the modifications that have been made to each of the pans to make them just a little bit larger -- the enlarged cooking surfaces of the 8" and 10" slide make a huge difference!
3. They clean like a dream...nothing sticks! Enough said.
4. They cook very evenly and it is fantastic that I can put them in the oven up to 500 degrees! It makes searing and then roasting meats so simple.
I look forward to using these pans for the next 10 years and beyond. I'm a Calphalon customer for life!

A Set You Won't Regret!

Date:April 21, 2010
I love this set and I mean LOVE! For years, I've always purchased pots & pans based on price but now I wonder why?! These pans will last you a lifetime saving you money in the long run. Not to mention, they're very durable and heavy...meaning quality. They heat evenly and they're such a breeze to clean. They're definitely worth the extra money. You won't regret your purchase as you'll make the best meals with these pots & pans.

LOVE this set!

Date:April 21, 2010
I have always had the "cheap" stuff in my kitchen, plus a few hand-me-downs from my grandma, mom, and sister...and never saw the need to spend a lot of money on cookware. UNTIL I GOT THIS SET! Wow, I'm actually enjoying cooking...and I don't even yell at my husband when he cooks and leaves me the mess to clean up. These pans are SO easy to clean! I literally can clean it with a wet sponge. I use a very mild soap, hoping to preserve the pans for as long as possible. I've always liked to cook, but dreaded the mess that followed, and didn't really "enjoy" it as much as I do now. If you are a skeptic, the best thing I can say is to just try it! Maybe buy one piece (my can't-live-without piece is the large covered skillet), and I guarantee you will fall in LOVE. Then you can pass that on to another skeptic, and buy yourself the whole set! :) ENJOY!

Good Cooking With Calphalon

Date:April 21, 2010
I really like the fry and saute pans in this set. They heat up quickly, get nice and hot, and give a good sear. Fried eggs slide out effortlessly. Water seems to heat up quickly in the stock pot and saucepans, which is most likely due to the sturdy anodized aluminum design.
One interesting caveat- my husband, who is an amazing cook, did not like the curvy shape of the saucepans and stock pot. He thought they looked a little too feminine for his taste.

nonstick that sears!

I LOVE the 10 piece Unison set. I would have liked to have seen 12 inch instead of 10 inch pans, but overall, the set is ideal for a family of 3 or 4. I did purchase the 12 inch slide in addition, and it perfectly rounded out the set! I love the searing nonstick stock pot and the deep sides on the 10 inch sear pan. And the ease of nonstick from stovetop to oven to dishwasher make cooking and clean up both a breeze. My husband, who's job it is to clean since I do the cooking, was impressed by how easy even stuck on remnants of flour used to coat our fish tonight came right off! I highly recommend!

Great Sear; Easy Clean-up

Date:April 13, 2010
I received a set of pots and pans, and used the 8" pan to cook a little bacon-wrapped tenderloin last night. The pan heated up lickety-split, especially with our star-shaped gas burners. It did a great job of searing the outside, and it was easy to cook the steak to the right "doneness." Best, clean-up was easy. My old Calphalon pan was not dishwasher-safe, so that is huge. All in all, yay!

I just used my new 3 qt. pot from the unison nonstick 10 piece set. wow!! I cook oatmeal every morning and always have to soak and scrub to get the leftover mess off my pot. But today I used my new pot...after a little soaking I just dumped out the water...and all the oatmeal gunk went with it. NO SCRUBBING! Now that's my kind of pot.

I've spent too long using my stainless and cast iron sets. This set is the easiest cookware I have ever used. I didn't even mind cleaning them. Everything I made from braised chicken to perfect pancakes and side dishes were wonderful. I am a stickler for even heat conduction and like the ability to take dishes directly from stovetop and finish them in the oven. This line allows for both. Not to mention the flexibility of having he slide and sear surfaces in one set. Genius!

Fabulous One Stop Shop Cooking

Date:April 11, 2010
I think that I have found THE set that I can use in almost all the situations that I need. I consider myself a good cook. I love to make things from scratch, like to use the recipes that I see in Southern Living, Food and Wine and if I dare to really work at it - Cooks Illustrated. I use all kinds of cookware from nonstick for everyday to cast iron when I really need a good searing. I have been using this set for 2 weeks and it does pretty much what I need to with out the MESS and difficult clean up. I was pretty skeptical that the searing pans would "pan" out so to speak...but they did. I have made omelets to pot roasts in these pans. I am impressed. Since I have so many pots and pans, I now have a rule that pans must go if new pans are to come in....I am thinking of adding to this set (looking at that grill pan ;))so that tells me something. In a nutshell, this set cooks well, does what I need, cleans beautifully and to top it off looks fabulous!

I've done EVERYTHING with these.

Date:April 9, 2010
I have used these pots and pans for a series of recipes both old and new. I was able to pan sear eggplant (new!) and melt chocolate (lots of it- old fave) flawlessly. I don't know if any of you other chocolate addicts have spent as much time melting chocolate as I have, but if it sticks, it burns. No tragic waste here!
The lids on these pots fit so well you can't hear the pot boil, so I guess you'd better watch them after all! The only less-than-perfect food result I've had (among the fluffy omelets, the perfect sauteed mushrooms, and cooked on cheese that comes off with just one swipe) was rice. I added my "usual" amount of water for perfect stove top rice and got mushy, overcooked rice- because the lid doesn't allow as much vapor out of the pan as my old ones did. I will adjust my recipe to allow for the high quality of my new pans!
The only minor detail that I did not care for is that the stamped logo on the handles feels rough to the touch, but it doesn't affect the taste so I consider it unimportant.

This is my first experience using Calphalon products in my home and I am thoroughly impressed with the Unison Non-Stick 10 piece Set! First off we are renters and have an older stove that has to be turned up to at least half way to get any real heat from the burners. However, I have been pleasantly surprised to see that with this cookware set it’s like I’m cooking on a fully functional, professional stove. These pots and pans really conduct heat well!
I see these pans are supposed to sear without the need of oils or butter so I decided to test this out. I tried to think of the most difficult thing to make this way and I came up with a fried egg. I used the 8 inch pan and fried one egg completely alone. I was amazed to see frying an egg without oil or butter was a breeze! It was actually easier cooking the egg with this pan without oil or butter than it has been using any other pan I have ever used even with the assistance of oil and butter. This was the toughest test I could think of and Calphalon passed with flying colors! We have since cooked chili in the stock pot, sauteed onions, mushrooms, and bell peppers and seared chicken in the 8 in & 10 in pans and each time using Calphalon enhanced my cooking experience and made it more pleasant!
Another important factor with this set is the design. It is designed like professional cookware and it behaves as such. I worked in the restaurant business for a few years as a prep chef and my husband is a catering chef and these pots and pans are restaurant quality. You can flip food like a chef with extreme ease! I enjoy using these pans so much I actually look forward to cooking, even with a one year old running around. Honestly I can’t say enough good things about this set! They are beautiful, highly functional and professional quality. Calphalon is not only always welcome in my kitchen, but as of now it’s a requirement!

Worth Every Penny

Date:April 6, 2010
I've been saving my pennies for just one of these pans, when I received a special offer for the entire set. Let me tell you - I'll be watching for these to go on sale - with 3 girls - I know what their wedding presents will be ! Seriously - I've been doing reviews on my blog each and everytime I use one of these pans (including pictures) Never before have I been able to make an over easy egg - with absolutely no oil in the pan. Wow. Then - cooked up some veggie burgers in the same pan - again no oil, AND they were frozen - those things always stick - but they didn't. I used the sear pans for ground beef the other day - perfectly brown (even though that started out frozen too - why is it I never remember to take stuff out of the freezer in the morning?) Then - I made sweet and sour chicken, all in one pan (the big sear pan with a lid) Chicken was browned, then - nothing stuck - and you know the sweet and sour sauce usually sticks ! Clean up is a breeze - the kids don't even fight anymore over who has to wash the pots and pans - because it's easier than loading the dishwasher. Simply amazing. These are my go to pots from now on. Great job

Best of both worlds!

Date:April 5, 2010
I love this set of nonstick pans. I have used nonstick in the past but ended up throwing them out every year or 2 after the nonstick coating wore off, and my last set was a stainless set because I wanted to be able to put them in the dishwasher. These Unison pans are truly the best of both worlds!
I love how easy it is to make egg dishes or perfect grilled sandwiches with the slide nonstick. Even sticky and starchy dishes slide off with ease (even burned potatoes!) You need little or no fat to cook with these pans. I was pleasantly surprised with the sear nonstick surface as well. It was easy to sear and brown meats, and then being able to finish a dish by putting it right from the stovetop to the oven is terrific. I use these pans every day.
The quality and weight of these pans is very nice. If you are not used to quality pans, they seem quite heavy at first but the extra handle on the sear pans helps you get a 2-handed grip.
They hold and conduct heat very well, and I was able to boil water faster than my old pan set. I get even cooking results every time.
Putting nonstick in the dishwasher seemed too good to be true, but after a few weeks they are holding up nicely. Many times I am able to clean them with just a few wipes with a dishcloth though, saving valuable dishwasher space.
I recommend these pans for serious cooks and those just looking to save some time cleaning pans!

I have been using the Calphalon Unison Nonstick pots and pans and I must say that I am really impressed. Sure, they look well made and have a sleek design but I wasn't sure if they would cook to my standards. I have scrambled eggs in the fry pan and they have been light and fluffy. I pan fried some breaded pork in olive oil in the larger sauce pan and it had a perfectly crisp crust and moist inside. I have also used my pots and love that everything goes right into the dishwasher. My husband and I are foodies and we give this set of pots and pans 5 stars! Thank you Calphalon for introducing me to better cookware and easier clean up!

One pan for breakfast!

Date:March 29, 2010
I decided to break in my new pan this morning for breakfast.
First I cooked some bacon. Normally I burn the beejeebies out of most of it, but today, the heat of the pan was so even that it cooked beautifully.
The bacon was crispy and came out PERFECT. My husband didn't believe I made it! (that's really true).
I took out the bacon, and emptied all the fat out of the pan, wiped it out with a towel and then made six sunny side up eggs in there.
They came out perfectly. Now if only I could find a way to make the toast in this pan, my breakfast would have been complete.
All in all, the cooking temp was even throughout my morning. It wiped out in a second and cleaned up in less than that.
I'm officially in love with my pans.
Tomorrow I'm going to try to make a stew, wish me luck! I can't wait to see how it turns out.

AMAZING cooking experince!

Date:March 25, 2010
When I first cooked on my Unison nonstick set I thought I had died and gone to heaven! Seriously, I'm not kidding.
I've never cooked on cookware like this before. When I made an omelet in one of the pans the other day, the nonstick was so smooth that I could easily flip the omelet without having some of it stick - I've never had this happen before in my life. Then, when I went to wash the pan, ALL the food came off with one wipe of my sponge. No standing there and scraping whatsoever.
I'm now excited to go home and cook on my pans becasue Calphalon has made it so easy for me. I high recommend this set!

Wow!! My husband, the cook, loves these new pans! We had a cheaper line Calphalon that we really liked, but my husband says our new Unison pans are the "cat's meow". He loves the way they cook and I love the way they clean up! Everything cleans up spotless, I think they will be looking like new for a long time. As for our old Calphalon, we gave those to our daughter, and she couldn't be happier with her new (used) Calphalon.

What good cookware can do for your cooking

Date:January 16, 2010
Received this 10 piece set as a Christmas gift, and after cooking with it just a few times I am addicted. All I want to do now is cook. I was so amazed that I went out and purchased additional items. I now own 55 pieces of Calphalon Unison including 22 Nylon/Silicone Utensils, 2 Wood Utensils, 2 Utensil Crocks, 2 Terry Dish Towels and 2 Thumb Pot Mitts. Even after making homemade gravy (sauce) for more than 6 hours there was no burnt sauce on the bottom of the pot (amazing). And it tooks seconds to clean up. The nice thing about it, you don't need oil or butter to cook. I also feel I'm saving energy because you cook with less gas and time. It is worth it because this is a set I will have for life. I have recommended The Unison line to Family, Friends and Co-workers and I can't stop talking about it.

Amazing!

I have never taken the time to write a product review before but I haven't stopped telling friends and family how wonderful this is! I am blown away by how simple it is to use and to clean. As soon as we bought it my daughter seared a perfect piece of tuna without a speck of fish left in the pan. Cleaned it without a problem and seared off a couple of porkchops, and in the slide pans did up caramelized onions in one and apples slices in the other! The sear pan made a lovely pan sauce and the onions and apples slide right out without hesitation! That was night one and we haven't stopped enjoying dinner time since! Thank you Calphalon!!
