Many people say they fry eggs without having them stick on the Tri-Ply pans like I bought. I am not getting that result. I usually preheat the pan and then use a thin coat of canola oil in the pan. but eggs usually stick-- I end up breaking the yolk on fried eggs or being unable to cleanly flip an omelet in one piece.
What's recommended-- am I using to hot of a flame?

I begged for these for Christmas and I'm sooo glad I did. I love to cook like the pros and this really helps to get the proper sear on meats etc. It's nice to be able to sear and then finish in the oven. This is the 1st stainless steel pan that we can actually fry an egg and it slides out. They're easy to clean and they look great on my hanging pot rack. We love them so much, I'm getting my nephew (a chef) a set for his wedding in October. If you like to cook, these are the pans for you!

My husband purchased this set for me this past Christmas. I am so disappointed in how hard the pans are to use. EVERYTHING sticks!! Would not recommend anyone purchase stainless cookware!!!

Everyone I know talks about the "other" Tri-Ply stainless steel cookware....and for good reason. It has a LOT of BLING and it cooks wonderfully.
Well, I discovered the secret to getting both the beauty-BLING and cooking-ZING without the high cost (money-Ding).
This stuff is just as SEXY as the All expensive brand, cooks just as evenly, and costs a great deal less!!!

We love this set ~ it looks fabulous in our kitchen and makes us want to cook more often! I do recommend Bar Keepers Friend to keep them shiny. If you are looking for a nice set of pots and pans, spend the money and get this set. I wish we had not waited so long to buy ours!

I recently purchased this set and love it. However, I had a problem cleaning my saucepan after making eggs. I used oil but some of the stains in the pan were difficult to remove. Soft scrub did not seem abrasive enough, even after letting the pan soak. Yes, I did let the pan cool down before cleaning. HELP!!

After using a set of Wearever aluminum pans for 40 years, I purchased these. They are wonderful. Follow the instructions to use a little oil, meat at room temp, soak stuck food in water, use a Dobie pad and Bar Keepers Friend and the result is "perfection". I hate Teflon/non stick surfaces so these were perfect for me. The glass lids, the design of the pans and the handles are great. They heat evenly. I have nothing bad to say about them. If you have not made up your mind, I hope this review helps you!!!!

Since we updated our 25 yr. old refrigerator we found we needed to update our oven to match. After doing so we realized our 25 yr. old pots and pans also needed replacing so I carefully shopped around and decided upon this set plus a couple of Unison omlette pans. We even like the style of this set better than the "Contemporary" more expensive set. The cooking of all my Thanksgiving dishes turned out perfect. I was happy and very satisfied with the performance of each pot and pan I used from its even cooking to the ease of the cleaning. I did review all of the comments made at this site and Amazon so I was aware to use medium heat and wait until the pot was cool to clean it. Medium heat works terrific for this product and I find I can quickly turn it to low for it to continue to cook with a lid.

I love all these tri-stainless cooking pieces and the extras that I have purchased over the last 5 years. The provided even cooking heat - love the clear glass lids and that all can go in the dishwasher. Only issue I have is getting food from around the screws where the handles meet the pan - has to be done by hand. Hope they keep adding more sizes - like a 1 qt sauce pan.

I was a little hesitant to spend almost $400.00 on cookware, but the quality of this set will far outlive the cost. I will be able to pass these down to my kids. I will probably only buy Calphalon from here on out.

I was a little timid to get a stainless steel cookware set, because food had a tendency to stick when I used them in the past. I'm really glad I made the leap of faith and got this set. Very versatile with all the pan and skillet options. Still having a little trouble with eggs sticking, but otherwise I really like it.

When you use price and quality both to evaluate products you are assessing value. This is high quality cookware at a reasonable price. I enjoy cooking with it and it cleans up well. I picked up the set on sale and at the time it came with two extras; a Unison nonstick every day pan and a utensil set. I do not use the every day pan each day, but at least 5 times a week. The spatula with the utensil set is the best one I have tried for turning frying eggs. I am very happy with my purchase, and will add to the set over time.

This set has been the absolute best cookware I have ever cooked with, it is easy to clean, looks beautiful and it will last forever!!! I honestly wish I would have purchased them sooner. I used to have to purchase a cookware set every couple of years because no matter how careful I was with them they always would have the teflan coating flake off. My favorite pan is the 3 qt. saute pan.

You know how as a little girl you always dream that someday you will meet that one special love who you will spend the rest of your life with... the one who will be with you daily , from morning to night, who will never let you down and always be trustworthy, strong and look as good as they did the day you met them years later. Well I found my knight in shining armor in my Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Set. I was tired of all those other pans who kept coming in out of my life with their warped personas, quickly scratched exteriors and promises they never kept. I wanted something that would last until I fry my last egg, something that each time we met, would leave me feeling as good as the first time! Alas, my Tri-Ply Stainless Steel is the "Pan" of My Dreams! Built to last, we will be hand and handle forever!

My parents got me this set for Christmas last year, and they are amazing! I haven't really figured out the proper way to clean them, but they came with instructions. They're easy to clean (unless you tend to burn things like myself), but they definitely inspire me to try to cook better food for myself! The bigger ones are a bit heavy, so they would not be appropriate for older people. The heaviest pan actually has a handle on the other side, which is very helpful.

This was my first ever set of calphalon pans and I am in love. I recently splurged and purchased an induction stove and knew that I needed to upgrade my pans. So I went to the outlet stores which are nearby and I knew there would be plenty of specialty shops that I hope could give me good advice. Calphalon was the one store that I got great service and good advice as to which pans would work best on my new stove as well as how to best use them.
I've had the pans for a month now and I would recommend them to anyone. They are solid but not so heavy that they can't be lifted easily from the stove. Due to the knowledgeable staff and their advice I was able to do something I never thought I would, could in stainless pans.! I can even fry an egg with very little fat and no non stick coating which still amazes me.
If you are looking for a solid pan that works on and with just about an stove then you can't go wrong with these. If like me you've never used stainless before and are afraid, go to a calphalon store and ask the staff, they know what they are talking about.
Due to the fact I purchased at the outlet store my pan configuration was an 11 piece set as it was made up in the store, but this was the closest I could find on the site for a review and I wanted to let others know how good these pans are!

Ever since I found a Calphalon Tri-ply saute pan at a yardsale, I have been hooked! We asked for this Tri-ply set for our wedding, but we didn't get it as a gift. But, we did get a bunch of cash and gift cards. So, we immediately went and picked up this set. I LOVE IT! My husband who doesn't like to cook, loves it too. I will always buy Calphalon. It's worth the extra pennies! And if there is ever anything wrong with a Calphalon product, they have a wonderful lifetime warranty! You definitely get what you pay for here!

This is the best cookware set I have ever owned and it is totally worth the price. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the first time I put it to use I knew that it was exactly what I needed. It cooks evenly and works wonderfully in the oven. I have no regret about having bought this cookware set.

The build quality of this set is incredible. I also believe that there is a lifetime warranty on this set, and since we bought it from Bed Bath, we can always claim that warranty directly through them. The only problem with this set is that stainless steel is hard to clean compared to a non-stick, but non-stick just seems dangerous to me as the chemicals involved in non-stick just don't sound good to me... We use bartender's keeper though to keep these scrubbed and clean and it's worked great so far!

I received this set as a wedding present from my registry and it is everything I hoped it would be. I cannot believe the range in sizes. I finally have pots big enough to cook things properly and evenly!!! I love that they are dishwasher safe, however, I usually still handwash them to ensure they last a long time. The only negative would be that the handles of the pots as well as the lids do get very hot on my gas range, so be careful. Otherwise, they are fabulous. No complaints!

I received this set of cookware for my wedding and love it! It's wonderful to have 3 shallow frying pans in varying sizes, as well as the deeper one, in which I love to cook stir fry. This cookware is easy to clean, even though it is not non-stick. The glass lids make it easy to check on whatever is cooking. The only thing I would design differently about this product is the frying pan handles. They are not very thick, and when the pans are full of food and heavy, it can be a strain on my wrist to carry them. Perhaps thicker handles would be helpful. But all in all, I love them!

The pans are beautiful. Heat is distributed quite evenly. Overall the set is designed and work very well. The only negative that I have found, is that they are a bit difficult to clean.

I have owned other brands of cookware, but Calphalon Tri-Ply offers the best bang for the buck! Stylish, functional and excellent! I thought I would regret not purchasing Nonstick, but I have not been disappointed

I have been cooking on my copperbottomed cookware for years before redoing my kitchen and adding a smooth cooktop. My cookware kept vibrating off the burners so I went in search of new cookware. I researched many brands and decided to give Calphalon a try. I love my Calphalon!! All the pots are wonderful! I did not want non-stick cookware...cleanup is not hard at all...if I have anything a little sticky, I use Barkeepers Friend and it cleans up in a snap! I highly recommend this product! This particular 13 piece arrangement works very well for me.

After 35 years of marriage and 35 years plus of using all types of cookware I now have the best cookware I have ever used - Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless.
I have been using the cookware on a gas cooktop but am looking forward to my Christmas present - An induction cooktop.
