We registered for this item for our wedding based on the reputation of other Calphalon products. We did, in fact, register and receive many Calphalon products. This one however, is one I wish I had not put on my registry. We were married at the end of September and at the beginning of February the entire wheel fell off the handle because it is all held together by a tiny piece of plastic that fell off in the dishwasher. It clearly states that it is dishwasher safe. I really think that the design of this item needs to be rethought since we are not the only ones that were taken in by the usual good quality of the Calphalon name, but the unbelievably poor quality of this item. Needless to say we now have to buy a new one. We won't be buying Calphalon this time.

I own many Calphalon pots and have been quite satisfied with durability and quality. However, I was very disappointed with the quality of the pizza wheel tool. It is not a tool that I use frequently, but on my 5th use of the product the plastic wheel in the middle of the metal wheel blade came apart and now the blade is separated from the handle. Apparently the use of inexpensive plastic material employed to hold the handle and blade together does not match the quality of the handle or blade. I was very disappointed that Calphalon would offer such a poorly made product for buyers and loyal customers.
