I am a sometimes vegetarian and I do not cook meat very often. I was not sure this would serve my purposes, but it is great! I wanted to make roasted veggies with a balsamic dressing to take to a party. I cut up onions, peppers, two types of squash, sweet potatoes and eggplant. Then I tossed them with the dressing and put them in the bottom of the pan. I also put 6 ears of corn, in tinfoil, on the rack above the veggies. Everything was cooked perfectly- even the corn! I wish I had thought to take a picture.
A few days later I pot a pork loin on the rack with veggies underneath and that was wonderful as well. The baster that comes with the pan has a sharpened end that seems like it will go into the meat and baste it. I was really excited to try it because it is seemed like such a good idea. I used it a little, but it didn't really seem to work. I think it would work really well on a pot roast or a turkey, but the pork just was not the right thing to use it on.
The only thing that could make this a better product is if it came with a cover. I had to use tin foil for my pork, and a cover would have helped. Also, I have a small kitchen and this is a large pan, so storage is an issue for me. But I do really like the versatility of this pan.

This is a great pan for small turkeys, chickens, roasted veggies, etc. The non-stick is very easy to use and the pan cleans quickly and easily. I am a huge fan of Calphalon but not as big a fan of non-stick cook surfaces.

was so easy toClean, I used it to make Easter Dinner, also made a Roast with Potatoes,Onions & Carrots, It was the nicest Roaster I have ever used. I am so glad I got the chance to try it. Now I want the whole set. I will eitherWIN it or BUY a set.I felt like a real Proffessional using it.

"Fall Down Good" is a phrase my 8 year old and I have had for years to show that something is so good that you just have to fall down!
The Calphalon Roaster is our new Fall Down Good ticket to a tender, moist, first-time-I-ever cooked-one-Pork Loin Roast!
I know the pan size may seem like overkill for such an item, but I figured all the great features might apply to a smaller item too-and they do!
Using a recipe as a launching point from a Kathy Maister blog on How-to-Cook-a-Pork-Roast, I made a coconut oil and spice rub for top and bottom and poked garlic clove halves in the ends.
Although this roast was so perfect that it did not need any, I finished it off with some gluten free coconut milk gravy just to give the pan a spin at stovetop use on my glass top stove.
The Calphalon Roaster is our new Fall Down Good ticket to a tender, moist, first-time-I-ever cooked-one-Pork Loin Roast!

The hard anodized, non stick Calphalon Roaster feels sturdy- both the pan and the handles. The meat lifters are very sharp and flat on the ends like a knife-a bonus detail although I haven't tested them on a big bird yet.
As a newbie Calphalon user, I am thrilled with the results and on the lookout for the next pan upgrade.

I really didn't want to do turkey this time of year so I took out the rack and made lasagna in the bottom of the pan, it was perfect, big thick slices. I now have several portions frozen and put away and am now thinking about tater tot casserole and doing the same thing!
Heats very evenly and even the middle was hot before the outside was burned! great!

The pan is heavy. It's big. I'm sure it's perfect for cooking a big turkey. My chicken looked small in the pan but cooked evenly. The pan is a serious piece of cookware. The negative is that it's a big and heavy piece that you don't use that often so would have to have storage. I'm not sure I would spend the money since the lesser quality roasting pan works okay for me.

We received the roaster set; awesome quality and we'll definitely use it a lot. I do wish however that it had some sort of lip along the edge to wrap foil securely onto it; on that note, I also wish it came with maybe a 10 pack of presized foil covers. The foil just doesn't conform to it that well and you need the oversized foil roll to cover the pot completely in one sheet. The rack is very easy to clean but I wish the grating was closer together (veggies fell through into the grease of the pot as they cooked). Turkey lifters were of high quality and worked fine. The injector is of higher quality than normal-very nice. Overall a very nice set but could use some minor changes

I used the roaster for potatoes and found them to be nice and crispy. The construction of the pan was nice. I liked the heavy pan walls. I can't wait to use this for a roast chicken dinner!

I still have a smaller nonstick roasting pan from Williams Sonoma but I like this one better. It has perfect dimensions - big enough but not too big. The surface is amazingly easy to clean. I have made a slow roasted pork and a roasted chicken. Clean-up after both meals did not require any elbow grease, just a simple sweep of the sponge. The pork cooks for over 5 hours so that was great! My WS roaster has scrapes in the nonstick surface from me having to work so hard to get the stuck on stuff off. I also really like the handles because they are big enough to allow me to use my silicone oven mitts to get the pan back in the oven. The only thing that I didn't like so much was the smell of the pan-it had an offgas type smell. I'm sure it will go away though.

I was so excited to see that I recieved the roaster I have always wanted one every year I make Thanksgiving dinner and inevitably every year I puncture the disposable pans and create a smoky mess in my kitchen. I went and bought a turkey and it couldn't have been easier it wasn't too heavy and it cleaned up amazingly well. I have been a long time user of Caphalon products. I can't wait to use it again anybody have suggestions for anything else I can make in it???

We used our new roaster for Easter dinner to cook up a delicious ham and it really was delicious. It was so easy to use, the extra handles that came with the roaster were so helpful and it made cooking fun and exciting!

I love roasting turkey, and not just at Thanksgiving! It's a wonderful way to treat your family to a holiday-like feast without all the added stress and chaos of real holidays! I have been aching for a roaster for a long time, and for years, I've been using those disposable metal foil pans - and it showed. I got excellent results with the Calphalon roaster - which cooked the meat thoroughly and consistently. The turkey skin was crisp and delicious on the outside, and the meat tender and juicy on the inside - even the WHITE meat - and you all know how hard THAT is to do! The best part was the clean-up - no mess, no scraping down the pan with a hard edge, and no waste with the disposables - the Calphalon pan is very sturdy and I'm sure will endure decades of heavy use!

Get roaster set...I can not wait to make a turkey in it for Thanksgiving! Over the weekend, I did make a roast with carrots and potatoes in my new pan. It was awesome...it was just the right size and the handles were just right for lifting. And it was a breeze to clean up. Enjoyed using it very much.

I just got this and used it for Easter dinner. The ham cooked beautifully, the pan was super easy to get out of the oven and clean up was a breeze. I then used it the other night to roast a chicken. I really like the "lifters", as they made getting the chicken out of the pan very easy. I did not use the baster this time, but I know I will soon. The pan is very sturdy and it was just the right size to accomodate all the other dishes I also had in the oven at the same time. Great product!

I LOVE the roasting pan. I used it to prepare two large roasts for company. I put the roasts in the pan and browned them on the stove top, then placed the pan in the oven and finished them. They cooked beautifully. I removed the roasts and made gravy on the stove top in the pan with the drippings! One pan--3 steps! Clean up was a breeze! I've never made a roast and had clean up so easy. I love this new pan. I did chicken in it too--easy clean up. I'm looking forward to doing a turkey sometime in the near future so that I can use the rack that comes with it. What a versatile great piece of cookware! My only negative comment would be watch out for the handles after you take the pan out of the oven--they are really hot and easy to bump. BUT that would not keep me from using this pan! Thank you Calphalon!

I was very pleased with the roasting pan. I roasted several chickens and they came out wonderful. I loved the "turkey lifters" as it was very easy lift the chickens out of the pan and the side handles were great. Very easy to grab with potholders on. One of the best features though was the super easy clean up. With the "U" shaped pan the corners were a snap to clean and nothing stuck to the pan so no "soak" time was needed. A real time saver in the kitchen!!
Can't wait to try a turkey next or maybe a roast, perhaps a ham.... the possibilities are endless. Whatever you cook I would highly reccomend the Roasting pan set. Did I forget to mention the cool injection baster, much better than those cheap plastic ones. Your gonna love it all!!!

Let me start by saying-I love Calphalon and I trust their products. We purchased several Calphalon pots and pans when we were first married 11 years ago and I am STILL using them because they still perform well (and I'm an active cook!). As our family has expanded and the holidays are all celebrated at our house, I needed something that would allow me to cook larger quantities of food. This roaster set has it all. The rack works great for everything from a small chicken to a 20 lb turkey (!). It allows the heat to
circulate the meat for even cooking and makes room in the bottom of the pan for vegetables. The lifters made it easy for me to place the bird onto a platter. Then I put the pan on my stovetop (covering 2 burners) and made a gravy right there without having to get out a separate pan! And cleanup was a breeze because of the non-stick surface. I used to have to let my old roasting pan sit in the sink soaking overnight (or longer) to get everything off but it was not a problem with this pan. Love it! Highly recommend.

I really like the roaster set. The pan itself is quite large, larger than the one I got for my wedding. The handles are very nice because they wrap around the top. Makes it easy to handle. It is relatively light in weight and easy to carry. The non-stick quality is very good. I would definitely recommend it!

This roaster is so light weight that it is not too heavy to pickup when you have food in it. So very easy to clean, almos cleans its self.
